The Carey Masonic Lodge will hold an informational open house on Thursday, April 25, 7:00 p.m. at Moreno’s Casual Dining, 109 W Findlay St, Carey, with a tour of the lodge building to follow. The roundtable topic will be “Freemasonry and the Modern Man.” Men nineteen years and older are encouraged to come for appetizers and discussion about the value and benefits of participation in the Masonic traditions.
Freemasonry is an organization of people who believe in brotherhood and helping others. Members are known as “Freemasons” (in full: “Ancient Free and Accepted Masons”, or simply “Masons”). Freemasons also assist one another in times of hardship and difficulty. Freemasonry can be found in many places around the world in various forms.
Carey’s Masonic Lodge was chartered 155 years ago. Men from all walks of life have shared in the fellowship and camaraderie of membership in the many decades since that beginning.
